The Micro-Wins Advantage

The Micro-Wins AdvantagePowerful Idea: With every small achievement comes the corresponding release of a small burst energy+confidence+motivation. What I am suggesting is the way to world-class in your work and inside your personal life is not through radical acts of change but via tiny daily wins.

The best Productives and the genuine Virtuosos focus on steady and incremental accomplishments acutely focused in the direction of their most important projects. They get that success happens through evolution – not by revolution. And that micro-wins are the breakfast of champions.

  2. The small things are the big things! Small achievements are small steps towards big achievements. Focus, self-discipline, passion, goals are some of the ingredients for a great champions’ breakfast.

Very true. I find this prove itself each and every day. It need not even be an achievement. It can be anything that makes you feel happy/good about yourself.

For example, the other day, it was not the best start of the week for me. Monday blues, people call it. There I was, feeling very gloomy about life. Then I saw a rainbow in the sky (it had been drizzling). Seeing that rainbow gave me a slight tingling feeling in my spine. And it gave me the strength to face the day.

I felt good about myself. I don’t know how, but I kept seeing the positive sides of things and people. From then on, I decided, I’m NOT going to let anything spoil my mood for long. If it does, the next thing I do is find something that makes me feel good. It will seem you can do anything right. It makes you believe in yourself.

So go on, find the things that make you happy. Do the things that make you feel good about yourself. Each time you find that thing, it’s a ‘micro-win’ for you, as Robin says. It has got all the motivation you need to reach your goal.

Its quite correct, and most of the people ignores. Success is just consolidation of every day achievements.

Thanks Robin for another brilliant ingredient of a true leadership package . Evolution do play important role in accomplishing any goal be it personal or at professional platform .
Speaking of professional platform the recent well set example is “The Team India Cricket “, their micro-wins from the matches played earlier helped them to win the world cup .

    Hello sir,
You are absolutely right… Your words remind me of my mumma.. On 8th dec. 2009, my papa left us forever.. My papa’s business is the only source of income.. From that on mumma slowly but steadily z trying hard to continue my papa’s business and to fulfill all her four daughters each need.. Each day the main thing that We learn from her is ‘there is no need to be worry, just keep faith in God and do ur duties full heartly.. In this world everyone has a great duty to perform.. Everyday do something for it and at the end you will see that you have done yours perfectly”
My mumma is doing her best to educate us ,to inspire us… I love her the most… I want to a lot of things with you!! But today I’l not bore you.. Next time… Take good care of yourself sir… Thank you… Your words are my back-bone without it I can’t sit or walk… Bye bye

I´m a AA member since 1982 in one of the thousands of groups part of MOVIMIENTO INTERNACIONAL 24 HORAS DE ALCOHOLICOS ANÓNIMOS founded in México City 35 years ago. Some of the things we TRY to practice DAY BY DAY are in fact POCO A POCO SE VA LEJOS and FOCUS IN TODAY. Don’t worry about yesterday or tomorrow, FOCUS in today, and give thanks for this new opportunity to be happy by doing what you have to do.

    Thank you!
