Here in Tallinn, Estonia. My "Travel 4" in every city is to stay at an interesting design-oriented hotel, to see some great art, to meet a cool person and to eat some outstanding food. My Travel 4 reframes a long tour like this into an adventure of learning and growth.
So my seminar sponsor took us to Vertigo, a hip restaurant in this remarkable city that sits on The Baltic Sea, south of Helsinki and North of Riga, Latvia. And we received a wow.
The room? Uber-chic. The service? Superb. The food? Brilliantly innovative (goat cheese creme brulee for example). I met the chef Imre and asked what he wants to stand for. His reply? "I want my food to open the dialogue." Genius.
We fly to Lithuania tomorrow morning. I'll miss Estonia. Can't wait to return. Because of the people. And the culture. And the unforgettable creme brulee.
